What does DN 63 mean?

Pipe is made of a wide variety of materials - like galvanized steel, black steel, copper, cast iron, concrete, and various plastics such as ABS, PVC, CPVC, polyethylene, polybutylene and more.Pipes are identified by "nominal" or "trade" names that are loosely related to the actual dimensions. For instance, a 2-inch galvanized steel pipe has an inside diameter of about 2 1/8 inches and an outside diameter of about 2 5/8 inches. In plumbing pipe size is referred to as nominal pipe size - NPS, or "Nominal Pipe Size". The metric equivalent is called DN or "diametre nominel". The metric designations conform to International Standards Organization (ISO) usage and apply to all plumbing, natural gas, heating oil, and miscellaneous piping used in buildings. The use of NPS does not conform to American Standard pipe designations where the term NPS means "National Pipe Thread Straight".

Lamination method of rtr pipe?

RTRP stands for Reinforced Thermosetting Resin Pipe and FRP stands for Fiberglass Reinfoced Plastic Pipe. FRP is a composite material consisting of a thermosetting polymer, often a type of polyester, reinforced with glass or other fibers. Glass fibers provide strength and stiffness to a composite material. Different types of resins are used for the manufacturing of RTRP pipes, which are selected according to the required properties like chemical resistance, temperature resistance and mechanical properties. The properties of FRP pipes can be varied by changing the ratio of the raw materials. According to the type of resin used, FRP pipes can be classified as;GRP - Glass Reinforced Polyester (Isophthalic resin) GRV - Glass Reinforced Vinylester (Vinylester resin) GRE - Glass Reinforced Epoxy (Epoxy resin) Lamination Joint This is a restrained joint system used for joining plain end pipes which consists of overlapping layers of fiberglass reinforcement thoroughly impregnated with the resin to achieve the specified width and thickness. It provides continuity in both hoop and axial directions. It is generally preferred for field adjustments and repair work where no other joint systems can be used. This joint is also called butt and strap joint and it results in high strength and requires skilled labor. Once the core pipe is laminated and tested successfully, jacket pipe cut to exact length to fit in the joint area is installed. This jacket pipe piece is laminated with the main jacket pipe by the same procedure. A nozzle is made on the jacket pipe to carry out the air test and subsequent injection of poly urethane foam. This type of joint is applicable for all the available pipe sizes

Is it okay to connect copper pipe to brass to galvanized to brass and back to copper or will it cause a reaction that will corrode the pipes?

If you do connect copper pipe to galvanized pipe, you will need a dielectric coupling or else the galvanized pipe will corrode. Same with connecting galvanized pipe to brass fittings. Brass is an alloy that contains copper and therefore the same electrolytic properties will exist unless a dielectric coupling is used. Hope that helps you out.

Is copper pipe a pure substance?

100% pure metal is actually quite difficult (some may argue impossible) to achieve. Copper pipe can be produced from one of 5 alloys under the "Standard Specification for Seamless Copper Pipe". They range from being 99.9% pure copper to containing a maximum of 0.04% phosphorus. While in a laboratory it would not be considered pure, in everyday life. . . copper pipe is basically all copper.

Cause of pinholes to quarter inch holes in copper pipe all 16 leaks in 16 hot and cold pipes are at the plate where the pipe enters the apartment from the crawlspace vertically?

Electrolysis created from two dissimilar metals touching each other. This creates corrosion and breakdown of the properties of the copper pipe. Replace the copper and place some type of sleeving around the pipe when reinstalling.

Can it be used for copper pipe?

I am sorry, but can you PLEASE rephrase your question? Can WHAT be used for copper pipe? When? How? Why?

What copper tube is available when using the grooved method of joining?

Grooved method? Threads on the end of the pipe? There is no tube or pipe in copper with threads. You can end a copper pipe with a connection that is threaded to accept steel pipe.
