If you are in the early stages of pregnancy &-8 weeks it will only be off by a day or two. By twelve weeks may be 3 days, 18/20 weeks 4-5 days. From then on it becomes more difficult as babies end up different sizes. Not at an early stage. Are you further on than you thought or not as far on as you thought? Give a few more details and I can tell you a bit more.
At this stage, yes the ultrasound can be off by 10 days. Mine was off by ten days the other way, that is I thought I was 18 weeks and the ultrasound said 16 and a half. I knew when I had conceived because my husband had been away on a trip.
Yes
my ultrasound said that my last period was nov25 could it be right
Ultrasounds are fairly accurate - a fetus at 12 weeks is very small. A 22 week fetus is fairly large. They measure how big bones are, and the distance around the head. There is no mistaking a 12 weeker for a 22 weeker.
Because it's about 12 days of conception
It is unlikely that they would be that far off. They're often off by a couple of days or weeks, but not usually 1 1/2 months off. I strongly suggest that you speak to your doctor about it for more information.
Subtract fourteen weeks (7 days x 14) from the date of the ultrasound.
An obstetrical ultrasound can be as much as 1-2 weeks off, before or after the due date.
A fetus is generally not visible on ultrasound until about 5-6 weeks of pregnancy. At 3 weeks, the embryo is very small and not typically detectable on ultrasound.
You could see a heartbeat if they do a transvaginal ultrasound.
The sex of your baby can be determined by ultrasound at 16 weeks. Doctors will usually do an ultrasound at 20 weeks.
Around 2.5 weeks ago.
