What should be applied over bandage on a food handlers finger?

A waterproof adhesive bandage or a finger cot should be applied over the bandage on a food handler's finger to ensure it stays clean and dry. Additionally, a disposable glove can be worn over the bandage to further protect both the wound and the food being handled. It’s important to ensure that the bandage is secure and does not interfere with the food handling process.

How many fingers should one be able to slip under the emergency bandage after it has been applied?

After applying an emergency bandage, it is recommended that one should be able to slip one or two fingers underneath the bandage. This ensures that the bandage is applied securely enough to control bleeding while still allowing for proper circulation and not being overly tight. If more than two fingers can fit, the bandage may be too loose; conversely, if no fingers can fit, it may be too tight and could impede blood flow.

What is the difference between melting and evaporation?

Melting is the process of a solid turning into a liquid when heat is applied, while evaporation is the process of a liquid turning into a gas without heat being applied. Melting usually occurs at a specific temperature for each substance, while evaporation can occur at any temperature, as long as the liquid has enough energy to transition into a gas.

Is butter softening into a liquid a chemical or physical change?

Why it is that when a pure liquid is boiling its temperature remain constant?

The energy/heat being added to the liquid is used to convert the liquid into a gaseous state, rather than to heat the liquid (you get something similar when you melt ice). Once a gas, the temperature of the substance will start rising further if heat continues to be applied.
