If you able to recognize another's thoughtless behavior more than likely they are oblivious to it. Don't bother trying to engage with them. As long as it does not cause harm to other medical personnel, other than insults, nothing will be done about it. It is until they have insulted the wrong sort of person, manager or doctor, that any action will be taken against them. Some are thoughtless simply because they are unhappy with their lives. If it is a behavior often associated with only one person, stay away from them they will drag you down. If it only occurs once in awhile, perhaps they are issues troubling this individual. It is up to them to correct the behavior. No one else can help.
