A pediatric presentation is organized like a presentation on an adult patient with emphasis on items such as developmental history and immunization history. The social history can be more important depending on the reason for admission. The physical exam differs mostly in the "General" findings. Infants can be "Ill-appearing", "difficult to console," "lethargic," or "alert and acitve," among others. You will need to be familiar with normal vital signs of infants and children, as well as some lab values, which differ from norms of adults.
