There are 3 levels of EMT. There is the EMT-Basic, the EMT-Intermediate (advanced EMT), and the EMT-Paramedic. EMT classes are offered at technical schools and some colleges. Prices range from roughly $650.00 for EMT-Basic (5 months long); $800.00 for EMT-Intermediate (about 8 months long); $3500.00 for EMT-Paramedic (range from 10 months long to 18 months long). If you choose Paramedic, prepare yourself for MANY hours of clinical education - roughly 425 hours
I paid $380 for my EMT-B course in Texas. If you are a resident of Texas, you can use PERCOM for all EMT courses as well as First Responder.

As a representative of PERCOM I will update and correct this. Percom accepts students globally. Students at the EMT level or higher must travel to Texas for their "hands on" skills training and clinical rotations. All other training is done in the online environment. Percom currently offers courses in EMT Basic, EMT Intermediate, EMS Instructor and First Responder. All EMT courses are offered online. I have added a link to our pricing page.

This depends on , of course where to plan to attend school, the state you live in and so on.

Some emergency medical technician ( basic) can be a full semester or more. On average I would say that with class, books, martrials and fuel, call it 1,200 to be safe.

Check your local collage, ask to speak with the E.M.S. coordinator and you will get a more accurate info .

It varies from college to college. Since paramedic training programs take one to two years to complete, it can cost from $3000 to $13,000. Although it may seem expensive, it is a great investment as it is a good career to get into.

Some EMT certificate programs can be completed in as few as three weeks. Training programs for paramedics can last as long as two years and often culminate in an associate's degree.

After completing any level of EMT training, students must also pass practical and written examinations administered by a state licensing authority or the NREMT. The written portion assesses comprehension of medical tasks and health issues. The practical exam tests a student's ability to perform EMT duties efficiently.

EMTs are generally required to renew their licenses every 2-3 years through continuing education.

It depends. Often times grants and assistance are available for people, especially from low income areas. If you spend the time looking, EMT training can cost next to nothing.

The average cost of EMT and CPR training is in the thousands of dollars. It is well worth it though.
