Depends upon any specialty the doctor has. Also depends upon the region where the doctor is employed - For example, a MD in Boston can command a higher income than if he or she were in a small town of 200 people in some hilly countryside somewhere.

Don't forget that a very very large portion of what any MD earns goes towards malpractice insurance premiums, an unfortunate necessity in today's world of "sue `em till it hurts" reasoning.
