Wilhelm Roentgen
Wilhelm Roentgen, Professor of Physics in Wurzburg, Bavaria, discovered X-rays in 1895—accidentally—while testing whether cathode rays could pass through glass
Johann Wilhelm Ritter discovered ultraviolet rays
Cathode rays were discovered by JJ Thomson and carry a negative charge Anode rays were discovered by Goldstein and carry a positive charge.

Canal rays were discovered by Sir William Crookes in 1870. He observed these rays while studying the behavior of cathode rays in a vacuum tube.
Cosmic rays were discovered by Victor Hess in 1912.
He discovered rays, invisible to the eye but NOT xray or cathodrays (have been discovered prior) but radioactive rays.
Paul Villiard found out about gamma rays in paris
x-rays were discovered in Germany in 1895 y the German physicist Wilhelm Rontgen
X-rays
Roentgen was a scientist who investigated radiation. ----------------------------------- He discovered x-rays. Took the first x-ray of his wife's hand, when she saw it she was upset and remarked something about seeing her death.
Roentgen rays are the same as X-rays, after the person who discovered them. In German they still call them "Roentgenstrahlen".
Johann Wilhelm Ritter discovered ultraviolet rays i 1801. He discovered it when observing that sodium chloride becomes oxidized when exposed to certain types of light.
