gastric Ulcers
The Mucosa tissue and the goblet cells are the type of tissue that are found in the inner lining of the stomach.
The lining of the entire digestive tract is called the mucosa. It makes what we call mucous.
The stomach lining is made of mucous and if it gets eaten away by the stomach acid too quickly it can result in to health problems. It's a mucous layer that protects the stomach. Also allows acid created to not effect or destroy the stomach itself.
columnar epithelium
Simple columnar
the stomach lining is made up of a histological layer (tissue layer) called "mucosa". as we gather from the name the layer constitutes mainly of mucous. the stomach is a site for churning and digestion of food with the help of enzymes like pepsin and hydrochloric acid (HCl). this acid can also harm the stomach muscles causing lesions which we popularly know as "peptic ulcers". the mucosa layer prevents the stomach muscles from coming in contact with the acid thus preventing the occurence of ulcers.
smooth muscle
The innermost layer of the stomach is made of mucous membrane. The mucous membrane of the stomach contains simple columnar epithelium tissue, that has many exocrine cells.
Mucosa is the lining of cavities that are exposed to the outside environment, such as the nasal cavities, and internal organs. Antrum is a general term for a cavity or chamber which may have specific meaning in reference to certain organs or sites in the body. Erythematous means unnaturally reddened. So, erythematous mucosa in the antrum means that the lining at a site in your body is unnaturally reddened.
The Mucosa
Epithelial tissue lines the stomach, like most internal organs.
