her head was her symbol with all the snakes on it
I wouldn't say that Perseus has any obvious symbols but my guess is that Pegasus is best affiliated with Perseus because Pegasus was born when Medusa was slain by Perseus. Pegasus sprang from Medusa's blood. I gave it a shot :-)
Of the choices choanocytes, medusa, spicules, or gemmules, Medusa is the option that is not associated with sponges.

Medusa is often symbolized by the Gorgon itself, representing danger and the power to petrify those who gaze upon her. The serpent hair is another significant symbol, embodying both transformation and the intertwining of beauty and horror. Additionally, Medusa is associated with themes of protection, as her image was used on shields and amulets to ward off evil. Overall, Medusa represents the duality of female power and vulnerability in mythology.
Some common symbols associated with romanticism include nature, the sublime, emotions, individualism, and the supernatural.
In Greek mythology, Medusa is not typically depicted as having a scepter. She is known primarily for her hair of snakes and her ability to turn people to stone with her gaze. While some artistic representations might show her with various symbols of power, a scepter is not a common attribute associated with her character. Medusa is more often portrayed as a victim of the gods rather than a figure of authority.

Medusa was not a criminal. She was a monster. The only people she ever associated with were her sisters, Stheno and Euryale.
A symbol is something which stand for a god or a person or similar. It is not the same thing as a well-known trait of somebody. Medusa was known to have snakes for hair. That does not make snakes symbols for Medusa. In this sense she does not have a symbol.
