P24 typically refers to a protein component found in certain viruses, particularly HIV, where it is part of the viral capsid. It is a key marker used in diagnostic tests for HIV, as its presence can indicate an active infection. The term can also relate to various contexts, so it's important to consider the specific field or study when interpreting its meaning.
Found in the viral core of HIV, p24 is a protein that can be measured by the ELISA technique. Doctors can use p24 assays to measure the antiviral activity of the patient's medications. In addition, the p24 assay is sometimes useful.

I don't think there is a quaranteed time period for that...I believe that HIV can remain dormant for up to 10 years, although that's probably an extreme case, with possibly no indication even through tests. If you feel that you had a good chance of contracting HIV, you should get routinely checked every three or six months for a couple years at least. To get a professional opinion, call Planned Parenthood or vist their website...very informative.
the only way to know is to get tested. symptoms are just that, symptoms. many can mimic other diseases and illnesses. signs of a weakened immune system can result from any chronic and acute illness. Get tested as soon as possible. make sure it is the most accurate test you can access. this would be preferably a standard 3rd or 4th generation Elisa test. be sure to also wait at least 3 to 6 months to be tested to account for the window period. If the test is negative, you almost positively are negative, but if symptoms are keeping you from sleeping, be adamant with your primary care doctor or the physician that you are working with about alternative test. a pcr test is helpful, as is the p24 antigen test (the p24 is included in the 4th gen test, but not in any other, so be sure to specify) make sure not to stress like myself and so many others have. most importantly, get tested!

No, but sometimes "average" means "mean" - when it doesn't mean median, geometric mean, or something else entirely.
