The difference between incision and excision of lymph nodes is very simple. The incision of a lymph node is when the biopsy only takes part of the lymph node during surgery. The excision of the lymph node is when the whole lymph node is removed.

It depends as to which organ drainage the lymph node has. If there is only one lymph node needed say for histological test or biopsy only one incision is fine. But i think, generally it takes only one incision.

lymph drainage ducts enters what veins?
Yes. I had an abscess last month and it can in fact make your lymph nodes swell.
Lymph nodes act as a drainage system. Depending in which part of the body inflamed lymph nodes can mean infection
Depending on where the abscess is it may be a lymph gland in the same way your neck glands swell and become tender when you have a sore throat. Or it may be absolutely nothing to do with the abscess. You should see a doctor.
The same way he is not sure if its mumps he cannot be sure if its an absess that can be drained. We have important lymph nodes and glands in the neck that sometimes can swell up do to many possibilities (infection, etc) However these cannot be drained because they can go back to normal anytime. Suggestion is for you to please NOT ignore them but do get a second opinion. Hopefully another Doctor can pay more attention to them and depending on where in the neck they are located they can tell you what glands or lymph nodes they are. They will also be able to prescribe you something.
Lymph drainage massage has been shown to be more effective than mechanized methods or diuretic drugs to control lymphedema secondary to radical mastectomy.
