Well i would have to say that yes the Atomic bomb saved peoples lives. because without the dropping of the atomic there would have been lots more people that had been killed in the war. So yes it was necessary to drop the bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Because of the Japanese culture, we would of had to fight off every man woman and child to have won the war. I believe that we saved 2-5 million lives (500,000 American lives were estimated to end)
