To convince the Japanese to surrender
comacasy
The cost of invading Japan was extrapolated from the previous invasions of Japanese held islands. A conservative estimate was that over a million US servicemen would be casualties and that there would be a similar rate among Japanese civilians, not to mention the Japanese military. The shock value of the A-bomb and the loss of several hundred thousands probably saved several million lives.
the US used the atomic bomb on the Japanese to end the world war 2.. US dropped 2 bombs on japan one on hiroshima and one on nagasaaki,,then japan surrendered..the name of the project was the Manhattan project and the name of the plane that dropped the bomb is Enola gay.... the president of the US (Henry Truman) was the one who acepted to drop the atomic bomb!!!
If you are talking about the atomic bombs, the US dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima from the Enola Gay. An even stronger atomic bomb was later dropped on Nagasaki. 5 days later, Japan surrendered ending WWII.
To show the Japanese army that we have more firepower then them
Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
America dropped an atomic bomb on both Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Because the Japanese would not surrender to the US. The US needed a show of power and the two atomic bombs were the solution. The US claimed they had more, to frighten the Japanese into surrendering, but they really didn't have any more.
Atom Bomb !! :)
Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The US drops the atomic bomb on two Japanese cities.
after the Japanese were bombed by 2 atomic bombs in 1945 the Japanese surrendered to the us on the uss Missouri
To convince the Japanese to surrender
The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, not the U.S.A.
They attacked Japan with the Atomic Bomb and then they told them that they had to surrender or they would drop another atomic bomb. The Japanese refused to surrender and they dropped another one. This killed more than 200,000 Japanese. Finally Japan had surrendered.
the US was pissed because they lost in a card game against japan
