Rationing didn't start until the end of WW1, whereas in WW2 it started almost immediately.
The amounts of food rationed were different.
In WW2 clothing was rationed.
In WW1 the poor civilians were happy with rationing as, paradoxically, they had access to more food and a better lifestyle. However the rich people were not so happy with it and attempted to get more food from the black market.
There was a thriving black market during both wars.
FOODS WERE RATIONED DUE TO GERMAN SHIPS SINKING TRANSPORTAIONS OF FOOD, SO WHEN RATIONED, OR USED HARDLY ANY, FOODS EFFECTED THE SOLDIERS DIET AND STARVATION OR HUNGER BECAME FAMILAR TO THE SOLDIERS. BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH VITAMINS IN DIFFERENT FOODS THIS EFFECTED THEIR ENERGY LEVEL FOR FIGHTING.
Well the U.S. rationed everything from oil, food, and rubber, to stockings, etc. Rationing provided our military and factories the materials they needed to produce the necessary weapons of war which ultimately lead to an allied victory. (40,000-50,000 American Sherman tanks alone were produced to the couple thousand German tanks thanks to our economy and industry).
Rationing
No comparision; Korea compares to WW1.

Canada played a much biggger part in World war two
During World War I, food shortages had pushed prices up and created hardships for people in the U.S. Also, rationing made sure that people got what they needed, without excess and with minimal waste. This helped conserve our limited resources and the rest of the materials were sent to the troops.
to conserve materials
Rationing
There was very strict rationing in Germany is World War I, especially toward the end of the war when there was scarcity of almost everything.
In Germany and Austria there were severe food shortages in the final stages of World War 1, and many people died of starvation.
The European countries involved in World War 1 introduced food rationing. Obviously, this involved issuing ration-books.

=The rationing in World War 1 was not very good. The government thought that rationing would be unpopular. The food situation was bleak in 1917. Voluntary rationing was introduced, food grew in gradens, meat - free days, flour was substitues in bread. By 1918 Meat, Butter, Sugar and Margarine was all rationed. Turned out to be popular with people. Rations were genours and people thought it was fair, Those who broke rationing regulations faced a fine or even prison. This Stopped All of the Rich People buying up all of the food and not leaving rnoug for the rest of the Public.=
