The Treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919, imposed harsh reparations and territorial losses on Germany, fostering resentment and a sense of humiliation among the German population. This discontent contributed to the rise of extremist political movements, including the Nazi Party, which capitalized on nationalist sentiments. Additionally, the treaty's redrawing of national borders in Europe created ethnic tensions and unresolved grievances, laying the groundwork for future conflicts, including World War II. Overall, the treaty's punitive measures and failure to establish lasting peace ultimately destabilized the region.
The peace treaty signed in 1973, known as the Paris Peace Accords, aimed to establish peace in Vietnam and end the Vietnam War. It was signed on January 27, 1973, by the United States, North Vietnam, South Vietnam, and the Viet Cong. The agreement included a ceasefire, the withdrawal of U.S. troops, and provisions for the reunification of Vietnam through peaceful means. However, the treaty ultimately failed to bring lasting peace, as fighting continued until North Vietnam's victory in 1975.
No, wars are not a good way to end conflict between two countries or individual. Wars bring destruction and nothing else. It results in the loss of resources as well as lives. Wars are not the solution of any conflict. Mutual understanding and conversation are the basis of better results for any conflict. Wars bring down the economic conditions of the country as well. Throughout the history, no war has ever ended a conflict. One war has either led to another war or cold war or war-like circumstances. So wars are not at all a good way to end conflicts between countries or individuals. Gandhi won a war without even fighting one.

The "Great War" as WW1 was termed depended on the troops and the public's view of national pride, in my opinion. It was not foreseen that the Treaty of Versailles would become such a punishing peace treaty. The treaty met all the demands of the nationalism of the two great European powers, France & England. That nationalism fueled the fighting spirits of the soldiers on both sides seems to be a given product to this 1914 to 1918 war.
Sam Houston was a staunch opponent of secession and believed that it would lead to unnecessary conflict and division. He advocated for unity and compromise, arguing that the preservation of the Union was essential for the stability and prosperity of Texas and the broader United States. Houston feared that war would bring devastation and suffering, and he urged Texans to seek peaceful resolutions rather than resorting to armed conflict. Ultimately, his views put him at odds with many in Texas who supported secession leading up to the Civil War.
