Impossible to say with any accuracy. It seems that most who joined underage served in the Navy and Marine Corp although the Army had its share of underage enlistees. The number is probably in the thousands for the entire war this includes underage servicemen already in uniform at the start of the war.It seems pretty plausible that some were Kia and it was never found out just how old they where. There was a story in the New York Times from 1943 which mentioned the death of a 15 year old marine in combat.
