During World War II, Hull, England, suffered extensive bombing as part of the German air raids, particularly during the Blitz. Approximately 95% of the city's buildings were damaged, with around 1,200 houses completely destroyed. The devastating attacks led to significant civilian casualties and the destruction of infrastructure throughout Hull.

During World War II, many houses, particularly in Europe, were characterized by their simplicity and functionality, often reflecting the economic constraints of the time. Many homes were constructed using local materials and featured basic designs, with an emphasis on durability. In heavily bombed areas, such as parts of Britain and Germany, homes were often damaged or destroyed, leading to the use of temporary structures or communal living arrangements. Overall, the aesthetic of houses during this period was largely influenced by the war's impact on resources and living conditions.

It's very hard to tell due to the Soviets didn't mark the locations of the houses and Germany just bombed the USSR without fully looking at where they were bombing but at least 750,000 houses were bombed during Operation Barbarossa. Most of the areas in Operation Barbarossa was just fields and open land.

The answer will depend on where in the world the houses were.
Prefabricated houses were built in my home town of Clydebank, Scotland when many houses were bombed during the 2nd world war. They were homes that were quickly erected, i.e. they arrived ready built and designed to last only around 10 years although many lasted a lot longer than that. They tended to be 2-3 bedroom homes, about 1000-1200 square feet in total.
