While precise statistics can vary, research indicates that a small percentage of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil have been committed by individuals with prior military experience. Studies have shown that around 5-10% of domestic terrorism cases involve former military personnel. However, it is important to note that the majority of veterans do not engage in terrorism, and the vast majority serve honorably. The motivations and backgrounds of terrorists can be complex and varied, making broad generalizations difficult.
The Twin Towers (New York) was bombed by terrorists this group was called the Al-Qaeda and the leader was Osama Bin Laden. Many other attacks happend that day in U.S. It was the worst attack since Pearl Harbor in world war 2
On September 11, 2001, terrorists attacked and destroyed the World Trade Center in New York City. There are many reasons for this attack; however, for the most part the terrorists wanted to strike a blow at the US which to them was a symbol of Western culture. They believed that their religion allowed for such an attack because they were radicalized Muslims who believed that the world should have one religion, Islam. As the US was (and is) the most powerful nation that represented Western values, the attack was seen by the attackers as being justified.

The Munich's Olympic massacre of Jewish athletes was the beginning of more active terrorist actions to place fear in the state of Israel. This tragic event is now but just one of the many attacks by terrorists against Israel and its people.
Many people think that the terrorist attacks on the twin towers was fixed. It was not. The attacks were a random act that was plotted and instrumented by terrorists that do not like America.
The Palestinian conflict goes back many decades, to the time when Jewish guerrillas fought against the indigenous Palestinians. Now that Jews have the upper hand and have successfully declared a state of Israel, while denying the Palestinians the same right, even on the small fragments of territory left to them, we now find Palestinian guerrillas fighting against Israel. This should have been foreseeable, but compromises were not made.
Yes and no. Many terrorists have been killed. The US capability to attack terrorists has been increased vastly. The US is less vulnerable to many different types of attacks. Terrorists have been forced to think of different tactics to attack. Different countries have been forced to stop supporting terrorists in their own national interest. Osama Bin Laden is dead. However, the war has created a new generation of people who hate America, and has vastly diminished US' diplomatic standing in the world. The ability of the US to gather ground information from friendly informants has been compromised. Many countries have been playing both sides, stating an intent to do harm to terrorists, but basically taking military and financial aid from the Western world with no real intent to fight terrorism.
19 hijackers, but it is safe to say that many terrorists were involved in the planning of the attack; most notably, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
