1st stacey gets in trouble by his teacher because TJ, a friend of his has a cheat sheet for a test. Then when the teacher comes by, TJ slides the cheat sheet over to Stacey. Stacey picks it up and looks at it not realizing the teacher was coming by. He gets caught then got whipped. 2nd, he chases after TJ to have a fight with him because of what TJ had done. There is a store called The Wallace store that sells liquor and cigars. TJ ran there because he knew Stacey would never go there because Staceys mom warned him to never go ner that place. But Stacey had to fight for what Tj had done so he ran there and fighted. Mr. Morrison, Staceys papa's friend comes and takes Stacey away. He said that he wouldnt tell Staceys mama that hes been there but it was up to Stacey to tell his mom instead. Stacey told his mom and got in trouble but didnt get whipped. The next day, mama takes Stacey to a house that has a man who has been burnt by the wallaces. " Thats why you never go there. They are bad people" she said. Thats how stacey got in trouble.
