Ther never was any ship named HMS Queen Victoria
RMS Queen Victoria was an ocean liner built in 1936 and was used as a troop carrier in World War II, but it was not a Royal Navy ship.
Five British Navy ships have had the name HMS Victoria, the last of which sank in 1893 after colliding with HMS Camperdown while on a fleet maneuver.
An American ship USS Victoria served as a fleet tanker in both World Wars. It was not named after Queen Victoria; but for the Victoria River.
HMY Victoria and Albert III was the Royal Yacht from 1901 to 1937; and served as a depot ship in World War II. She was replaced as Royal Yacht by HMY "Britannia" after the war.------------------

There were exactly 104 dreadnought battleships existing during WWI; named after HMS Dreadnought which was launched in 1906. Prior to 1906, battleships are referred to as Pre-Dreadnoughts. The first two Japanese Dreadnoughts are officially referred to as Semi Dreadnoughts, but they were clearly dreadnoughts as they had a uniform big gun 12" armament and turbine engines. I count them here as Dreadnoughts, because they should be. It is about the ship, HMS RESOLUTE, which was abandoned in the Arctic by the British while she was searching for Franklin, and was then salvaged by an American Whaler. She then prevented a threatening war between Britain and America when Congress bought her & refitted her and had her sailed back to Britain as a gift for Queen Victoria. Later Queen Victoria made a desk from her timbers for the American president and peoples. Maritime historian Elizabeth Matthews wrote this book and based it upon years of research.

HMS = Her/His Majesty's Ship. Used by the British Royal Navy for longer tittles as "His/Her Mayesty's Ship", abbreviated H.M.S. and then HMS.
He constructed the two desks built from the wood of the HMS Resolute. One desk went to President Rutherford B. Hayes and the other went to Queen Victoria. They currently reside in the Oval Office and Buckingham Palace respectively.
