The Soviet Union suffered the most significant losses among the Allied forces during World War II. Estimates suggest that around 24 million Soviet citizens, both military and civilian, perished due to the conflict. This staggering toll was a result of extensive battles on the Eastern Front, widespread atrocities, and the harsh conditions of war. Dunkirk was a disaster for the Allied forces that was masked as agreat accomplishment by the British propaganda machine. The British Expeditionary Force was destroyed and lost all of its heavy equipment, the French were mostly captured. Some French forces and most of the British (without most of their equipment) were extracted and this was played as a great accomplishment.

It was one of the turning points of the war. The Allied forces began to crush through all German defenses as most of the veterans were fighting the Soviet Union.
According to me the Germans lost the most land post in WW1 because in the end the central powers were defeated by the allied powers which had been consisted of Russia Italy France England USA & Japan.
