What event occurred between the two world wars?

Three things kind of tumbled into each other/fed off of each other. The Stock Market Crash of 1929 set off the Great Depression. At the same time, the Mid-West was experiencing a devastating drought that wiped out crops.

The treaty put Germany on fire. Germany went through a short revolution it was connected to war. The SPD was in power an it was the left wing party. It had the support of German workers and trade unions. Unfortunately, it tried to have a deal with the army. The deal was that the army would support the party if it were against the leftest extremists. The leftest extremists wanted to have a revolution in Germany. They were thinking of Russia in 1917.

However, the conditions in Germany and Russia were vey difficult. Germany was a very industrialised country whereas, Russia was a very backward country. There was no need to keep the Russian methods of revolution in Germany. Just because of the deal the army helped the SPD to crush the leftest extremist. Some of their leaders were murdered by the free-corps. The free-corps were former army people who were not unemployed. And just because of this, the leftest extremists turned agaisnt the government. There were other extremist too but they were righteous. The rightest extremists were saying that the armistice should not have happened that the treaty of Vesille was a sell out and civilians, those who signed these treaties were called trators. Their ideas were bare on a myth. The myth was " the stabbe in the back". In any tank, the extreme left and extreme right hated each other and this became a big problem for the country.

The new government was called the Weimar republic. The king was forced to flee. The new government was the most democratic, government in the history of Germany.

1- Every adult male and female had a vote.

2- The parliament was all powerful and everything happened democratically.

But their were two problems with the constitution:

The elections were based on proportional represntation.

The government could use emergency power situation of crisis.

These two problems mould create a crisis in Germany.
