Unfortunately, if you looked at an atlas, you would see that Russia is mainly bordered by sea, however Another Country was given a small outlet, I think it was Poland.

The Silver Star banner meant a member of that household was serving in the Armed Forces. They were available with as many stars as necessary (some families had multiple members in the services). If a family member lost their life, the silver star was replaced with a gold star.
There few difficulties on D-Day for the allies. The main one was the weather as in preparations for D-Day, the Allies needed to do it during night close to a full moon, so this left a 10 day window and on 9 of them the seas can be quite choppy, which didn't help the soldiers.
