The diseases the soldiers experienced and faced were malaria, typhus, hypothermia, frost bite, heat stroke, gangrene, starvation, berry berry disease, malnutrition, respiratory and flu problems, pneumonia, post traumatic stress disorder, exhaustion from being in battle too long, problems from bug bites and exposure to dead people, and hearing loss or blindness.
