appeasement
Ethnic tensions in Czechoslovakia led to
Czechoslovakia was left to defend itself alone due to the policy of appeasement adopted by Western powers in the lead-up to World War II. As they sought to avoid conflict, Britain and France allowed Nazi Germany to annex the Sudetenland in 1938 without military intervention. This decision weakened Czechoslovakia's position and ultimately led to its occupation by German forces in 1939.
The Germans referred to the invasion of France in 1940 as "Fall Gelb," which translates to "Case Yellow." This operation was part of a larger campaign to quickly defeat France and other Allied forces in Western Europe using Blitzkrieg tactics. The invasion began on May 10, 1940, and led to the rapid fall of France within six weeks.

Ethnic tensions in Czechoslovakia led to
The key reason was the desire to unite all Germans in one single Greater Germany. (Note that parts of Czechoslovakia were annexed by Hungary and Poland and that Slovakia became a Nazi puppet state).
Charlemagne led The Franks, or The Germans
They did not "fall" quickly. They gave up ground, but were able to stop the German drives and prevent the Germans from reaching their ultimate objectives. Gradually, the Germans were exhausted, and the Bristch, together with the French and Americans went over on the offensive, which led to Germany's final defeat in November 1918.

Adolf Hitler
He led the Germans.
Czechoslovakia existed between 1918 and 1938, between the wars. Sudetenland, basically all of the Czech part, was granted to Germany in 1938, and the remainder of the Czech part was later occupied entirely. A puppet state of Slovakia formed, splitting the country apart. Czechoslovakia was reformed after WWII in 1945 and lasted until the fall of communism in 1992, led by a peaceful split into the countries of the Czech Republic and Slovakia today.
