The Balkan state that played a great role in the outbreak of World War 1 was Serbia. It was under the control of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at the time, and a group of separatists murdered Archduke Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary while he was visiting Sarajevo. This sparked a chain of events that culminated in the outbreak of World War 1.

The World Trade Center sites are currently under construction. The memorial for the September 11th attacks has been temporarily moved closer to Battery Park. You can see the construction site from the Hudson. If you go to the site itself, you can see daily progress on the building. A few of the roads are closed off due to construction. There is a memorial shop where you can buy souvenirs, as well as several hot dog vendors in the area.

Crazy Horse. The Crazy Horse Memorial is being built in Custer County, South Dakota. When completed, the monument (mountain carving) may become the world's largest carving. Crazy Horse was an Oglala Lakota warrior.
They are collected for storage in a nearby warehouse. Some have been selected to go on display in the visitor's center that will be under the Vietnam Memorial. Others are on display with the traveling "Wall That Heals" replica of the Vietnam Memorial.
