political and economic diferences
After world war two, Germany was seperated into the communist East Germany and the democratic West Germany. The greatest symbol of this division was the Berlin wall.
The Japanese supported the Allies in WW1. I think they felt hard done by for their support in the ensuing peace treaty & division of the spoils.....
