The living condition in the were really bad. The Red cross was packed so sometimes soldiers that were hurt had to wait naked in the gound uintl a tent was open for them. The army had to set up large hositals near there taining camp. Only 1,700 woman were hired to be nurses. That was the first time in history that women got to be nurses! There was no food sometimes.
