your 1911 is a colt made pistol from 1942. your slide probably says Ithaca, but it is the wrong slide as often happend in the military when cleaning pistols parts got mixed up.

if it's a 1911 45cal. pistol then it was made by Colt. the slide made be ITHACA, but the frame is Colt. it often happened when guns were cleaned in the field. Also, if it's a pistol it was made in 1917.
If your Colt is the 1911 military pistol, it was made in 1915.
