You should get off your computer and read your book. You know you're supposed to, and it really is a good book.
The Trench Warfare had terrible coditions. This includes muddy trenches from the rain of Europe that resulted into Trenchfeet (terrible images of deformed black toes that will be amputated). The rats fed on the dead bodies of men. Conditions were suprising in World War I because more modern weapons were introduced such as tanks, flamethrowers and poisonous gas (which was later banned). A great way to read about the conditions of these men in a first-person-point-of-view is "All Quiet in the Western Front" by Erich Remarque.
Probably not. Hitler was notoriously poorly read, with many people in his council later recalling his "library" was made up of almost entirely spaghetti-western style serials and the occasional collection of fables and comic books. While its likely that many of his advisors had read it, Machivelli, like Nietzche is unlikely to have ever found itself on Adolph's bed-side table.FALSE - Better Answer. This is a false statement. Read "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William Shirer. Shirer explains in great detail how read Hitler was. In fact, during his 5 years living in Vienna as an unemployed young adult, he spend the long days reading book after book. He lived for reading. The purpose of his reading was to understand how to lead and gain power. During this time period, Hitler solidifies his ideologies, especially those related to German Nationalism and antisemitismHans Bowden
Men on the front would probably read books or comics of some sort. OR they would make up their own stories or newspapers to read to others/themselves. I don't think this was a type of entertainment to them, because it was just used to release their minds from this climate of war, and makes them reduce their stress by a bit.on one of the Christmas days both England and Germany dropped there guns and had a game of football!!! now that's Christmas spirit!
No they did not read during the Holocaust because the Nazis took everything they owned
Sad. but detached. read all quiet on the western front
carefree (had to read the book last school year; sorta boring, and in some parts sick)

Read "Silence on the Western Front" While it is a boo about the western front, it is very similar to the eastern, and the best book out there about war during World War 1.
You really need to actually read the book to understand this question. Kantorek is the schoolmaster who extoles the war to his young students but is in fact a hypocrite. A lot like politicians now.
Read
It's some kind of World War 1 movie. It is also one of the greatest books, and if you are a higher-level-thinking individual, you should read this book.
