The Frankfurt war crimes trials, the UN charter on human rights.
The American government had no direct effect on the Holocaust. Obviously, the defeat of Nazi Germany by the Allies ended the genocide. I wonder if you are mistakenly equating the Holocaust with World War 2.
During World War II, the Soviet Union, which included Russia, suffered an estimated 20 to 27 million military and civilian deaths. This staggering number accounts for both direct combat casualties and the immense losses from war-related famine, disease, and atrocities committed during the conflict. The Soviet Union's sacrifices were one of the highest among all nations involved in the war.
The 20th Century is often referred to as the "Killing Century" due to the unprecedented scale of violence and conflict that characterized the era, including two World Wars, numerous genocides, and widespread civil wars. The century saw the deaths of millions from direct military action, as well as from state-sponsored atrocities such as the Holocaust and the Cambodian genocide. Additionally, the use of nuclear weapons and the Cold War's proxy conflicts further contributed to the massive loss of life. This combination of warfare, political repression, and ideological extremism marked the century as one of the deadliest in human history.
No. The holocaust was not discovered, or truly realized until after the fall of Germany. (more over the capitulation of Germany) The camps were discovered a few at a time during the war, but the full grizzly meaning and impact the camps made wasn't fully realized until after the war. Of course, the camps ended with the end of the Nazi Germany, but it wasn't the direct, or indirect cause of the war ending, it was a "tool" of war. ___ The holocaust killings finally stopped at the same time as the war in Europe. However, many of the remaining prisoners were desperately ill and deaths from disease continued for several weeks.
yes many of the army/ss/police units had pastors with them to help them through it___The German armed forces in the Nazi period did not have chaplains or pastors.------er, yes they did. Granted not all units did, but then again religion was discouraged._____'... religion was discouraged', but they had armu chaplains? That doesn't make sense - or at the very least calls for an explalation.
a divided Germany.
a divided Germany.
A direct victim is the actual victim of a situation. If a man is beating his wife, she is the direct victim.

The direct method is always the best to use in any situation. This accomplishes the goal directly and takes up less time to complete the task.
He asks several rhetorical questions. Hope this helps:)

The direct results of the Nuremberg trials were the prosecution of prominent Nazi leaders for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and other atrocities committed during World War II. This led to the conviction of many individuals and the establishment of legal precedents for future international trials for crimes against humanity.
