Adolph Hitler and the top Nazi's bears the prime responsibility for the Holocaust and the so-called "Final Solution". This attempt to establish a genocide policy to eliminate Jews from Europe also depended on the lower ranking German soldiers who helped to maintain the death camps. And, there is plenty of correct blame to spread around, in a manner of speaking. It is clear that the Allies knew of the death camps. Despite that, there were no attempts to bomb the railroad tracks that were used to transport Jews and other minorities slated for death. To argue that the tracks would have been rebuilt or that executions could take place anywhere that the Nazi's occupied, was already a work in progress. There is no viable excuse for not bombing the railways used for the Holocaust.
