The total war campaign during the American Civil War was primarily carried out by Union General William Tecumseh Sherman. His famous "March to the Sea" in 1864 exemplified this strategy, as it aimed to destroy not only Confederate military targets but also the economic infrastructure and civilian morale supporting the Confederacy. Sherman's approach was part of a broader Union strategy to break the will of the South and hasten the end of the war.

During the bombing of Darwin on February 19, 1942, a total of 11 ships were sunk in the harbor. This attack, carried out by Japanese forces, was part of a larger campaign against Australia during World War II. The bombing resulted in significant damage to both military and civilian vessels, highlighting the vulnerability of Australian maritime assets at the time.
Sherman's Atlanta Campaign in 1864 significantly impacted the Civil War by securing a crucial supply center for the Union and boosting Northern morale. The successful capture of Atlanta bolstered President Lincoln's re-election prospects and demonstrated the effectiveness of total war tactics. Additionally, Sherman's subsequent "March to the Sea" further devastated the Confederate infrastructure and economy, contributing to the eventual Union victory. Overall, the campaign marked a turning point in the war by weakening Confederate resolve and resources.
The North did, without the B52s to stop them (as they did during the Easter Offensive in '72), Hanoi sent regiments of armor & infantry, supported by artillery and airpower into South Vietnam.

Napoleon Total War has Napoleons campaigns and battles which are fun, but in the Grand Campaign there are only 4 playable factions: France, Great Britain, Russia, and Prussia. Empire Total War doesn't have the special campaigns but it's Grand Campaign allows for MANY more playable factions and will last you a lot longer.

Third age total war is a mod (moderation) for medieval 2 total war kingdoms. If you are a fan of the lord of the rings trilogy and you like the real time strategy the creative accembly offer then you will really enjoy it. There is also the lord of the rings total war which is basically the same but in the style of Rome total war (but it has no fellowship campaign, as third age total war does). The choice is yours which mod you download. Personally, I would go for third age total war because it has the fellowship campaign which is very good. Also, the actual film itself is set in medieval culture. I hope this helps in some way, cya!
The battle of Hastings was neither a war or a campaign it was a Battle
