cus they did

Second Answer: Hitler and the Nazi Germans had many motives for attacking Britain. The number one reason was Hilter wanted to fulfill his dream of creating a pure Aryan Europe under the Nazi control. The second reason was to stop England from urging the USA to help them defeat the evil Nazis and help the poor Jews being persecuted. Hitler also wanted open sea passages in the English Channel and to the Black Sea. England had a formidable Navy. He thought the Brits had no guts to fight the Nazis.

The Blitz bombing was done to make it hard for Britain to wage war and to frighten the Britons and Scots into surrendering to Germany.

One reason behind the attack on Germany was that Britons wouldn't want to be seen as weak if there was a global war going on. To show weakness would be deversating so they had to retailiate.

Second Answer: There is a lot more to the German and Brittain conflict. The Brits wanted to save the European countries from the evil Nazi oppresion and tyranny. They did all they could do to defeat them including asking the USA for help. (See another answer that will give you more idea of why Germany attacked England and England fought back. It is on the link below.)

Actually, Britain declared war on Germany to stop the Nazi invasions of Poland, Holland, France, N0orway, etc. America did not want to join at first but was pushed into it by Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor. We did more than "all we could to defeat them" - with US and Commonwealth help we did defeat them in 1944, though the war with Japan dragged on for another year.
