There was no Paris Peace Settlement at the end of World War 2. There was the Treaty of Versailles at the end of World War 2. At the end of the Vietnam War for the US and France there was a peace settlement in France but that was called "The Paris Peace Talks".
The armistice of November 11, 1918 halted the hostilities of the Great War; however, the Treaty of Versailles which was executed between Germany and the Allies on June 28, 1919 was the formal peace treaty. The Potsdam meetings, also known as the Potsdam Conference, were held from July 17,1945 to August 2,1945 in Potsdam, Germany. The participants were the US, UK and Soviet union. The purpose of the meeting was to try and establish a post war treaty, peace treaty and to find ways to counter the effects the war had created.

The Treaty of Ghent was a peace treaty between England and Britain after the War of 1812. The US did not "win" the treaty because the treaty basically stated that everything would go back to the way it was before the war.
