I assume by "plight" you refer to the Holocaust since there have been many "plights" in which Jews have found themselves and many in which they still find themselves.
In the case of the Holocaust, the reason that it took so long to rescue the Jews was twofold. Firstly, the Jews could only be saved by liberating the areas where the camps and ghettos were, which required a strong Allied advance. This did not happen until mid-1944. The second is that most people (in the Allied countries) just did not care enough about the Jews to worry about their suffering. This is quite similar to the apathy shown to the Tutsis in Rwanda and the East Timorese in East Timor.

Judenrat is German for Jewish council. These were administrative bodies that the Germans required Jews to form in the occupied territories of Poland and the Soviet Union and also in some other areas. Obviously, the role of these Jewish council (which were appointed by the Nazis) was difficult, and they were - or were regarded as - collaborators.
This is not known. However, Mr Hitler (senior) was very conventional and conformist, so he probably shared the kind of antisemitism prevalent among Roman Catholics at that time in much of Austria. (This was much less intense than the kind that his son later developed). As for his mother, Klara, she consulted a Jewish specialist when she had breast cancer ...

There is no such thing as "Hanukkah People". People who celebrate the holiday of Hanukkah are called Jewish people. And there are no Jewish rituals that refer to "long" candles.
Long ago, God and the Jewish people entered a covenant together, meaning a mutual agreement. God had sworn to protect the Jewish, as long as they obeyed and respected him.
