Until he invaded Czechoslovakia, he was considered good for Germany. Until the War started, he wasn't doing anything 'wrong.' We was a very charismatic leader and brought Germany out of a HUGE deficit and depression.

allow? He was attempting to take over Europe. He convinced some of his neighbors that he would take over Europe, so they formed an alliance to keep from being destroyed. The rest, he just attcked and battled their military until they surrendered. Except France, who just surrendered without much of a defense. Much of Europe didn't really want to be attacked by Hitler. Russia and England presented the most resistance and divided the German military to two battle fronts.

They reacted, IMHO, too slowly! The UK sent their prime minister (Chamberlain) to Hitler (by air wich Chamberlin totally loathed) to negotiate peace. Chamberlain returned victoriously, but, alas, Hitlers real intentions where yet to be seen! The world was taken by surprise! Here this little man (Hitler in Germany) suddenly rose his nation up and went to war!

Answer 1

they didnt he secretly did it behind the world back

Answer 2

In terms of international opinion, while most contemporaneous world leaders would not choose to commit genocide against their Jewish subjects/citizens, most were still relatively Anti-Semitic in their outlook. They saw no reason to help the Jewish people and the other victims of Nazi genocide. As to Answer 1, most world leaders were aware that Hitler was massacring Jews, they were just not aware of the scope of the operation.

This attitude of indifference to genocide still prevails in much of the world, including the reaction to the Rwandan Genocide and the Genocide in Darfur.
