Czechoslovakia would have been difficult to defend against Germany in 1939 due to its geographical position and the lack of strong military alliances. The country was surrounded by German territories, making it vulnerable to swift attacks. Additionally, the Munich Agreement, which allowed Germany to annex the Sudetenland, severely weakened Czechoslovakia's defenses and morale. The Czechoslovak army was also underprepared and lacked the necessary support from France and the United Kingdom, further complicating its ability to resist German aggression.
1) The other world countries would be all over him. 2) He wanted to humiliate Germany's enemies.
I guess you could say that Germany (the home nation for the Nazi Party) was the first country taken over by the Nazis. Next would come Austria in 1936 & Czechoslovakia in 1938 before the war began. Then with the start of the war: Poland in 1939. Other countries were defeated & conquered in 1940 & 1941.
The Third Reich started out with Germany, then Germany annexed Austria into Greater Germany in the Anschluss of March 12, 1938. Germany annexed the Sudetenland between October 1, and October 10, 1938 into Greater Germany. This was an area of Czechoslovakia of ethnic Germans. All the above territory was considered to be Germany. Hitler referred to Germany under his regime as the Third Reich. He wanted to create a new government that would rule Europe for 1000 years. The Axis was the alliance of 3 countries, Germany, Italy and Japan, that fought against the Allies. Other countries also joined or were forced to join the Axis.
As a defense against the possibility that Nazi Germany would create them.
Policy of the US that it would defend the Middle East against attack by any communist country. Restatement of the containment policy.
Germany has a history of invading other countries. On the 15th of March 1939, Germany invaded Sudetenland which was part of Czechoslovakia. They would later invade the entire Czechoslovakia later in the 1940s.

In March 1938 Hitler bloodlessly took over Austria and later in 1938 he bullied the German inhabited Sudetenland of his neighbor Czechoslovakia. In Sept. 1938 the Western European powers betrayed Czechoslovakia to Germany when they gave the Sudetenland to Germany. They hoped this would bring peace. Six months later in March of 1939 Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia.
East Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, and Albania. Three of these countries (East Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Yugoslavia) no longer exist.
By allowing greater freedom in Czechoslovakia, they risked the other warsaw pact countries demanding the freedom. if Czechoslovakia was allied to the west, it would create a frontier for the Americans to match into Russian Ukraine from west Germany

To defend against the possibility of a Nazi atomic bomb, which if Germany succeeded in making it Hitler would order it used against Britain to force them to surrender. It was hoped the US might complete the atomic bomb first, but if not then shortly after so that Germany might also be attacked with them in retaliation for attacking England.

At the Munich Conference in 1938, the policy of appeasement was used against Germany. This approach involved allowing Adolf Hitler to annex the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia in hopes of preventing further territorial expansion and maintaining peace in Europe. The leaders of Britain, France, and Italy believed that satisfying Hitler's demands would avert war, but this strategy ultimately failed, as it emboldened Nazi Germany and led to further aggression.
France would only take action against Germany if brittain helped them. Britain declined and so nothing was done against the Germans. If France had acted against Germany, Germany would have been in no fit state to defend them and the 3rd Reich could have been over. bus due to Britain's policy of appeasement nothing was done. this gave Germany a strong border in the west and enabled them to focus their attention on the east, especially the sudetenland in chezoslovakia, as Germany continued to re-arm and Britain continued to appease them until September 3rd 1939 when ww2 began. euan999@hotmail.co.UK
