model number 4465-2 is this on recall
I just set up a Chloe dropside crib. The instructions were included but had a few errors including switching 2 types of screws around. Also the dropside had yellow stickers that were supposed to indicate which side to install facing in, but the stickers were on the wrong side. What do you need help with?

You can try contacting the manufacturer directly to request a copy of the instruction manual for the 1999 model 5001 ragazzi crib. Additionally, you may find digital versions of old instruction manuals on websites that specialize in baby products or on online marketplaces where users share manuals for various products.
Not to my knowledge but it should be. The slats are spaced just far enough apart that my son gets hung in the crib all the time and I have to lubricate him and the crib to get him loose. Once I actually thought I'd have to call the Fire Department. I've also had the dropside on mine come detached when I tried to pull it up at bedtime. I've complained to the company, they could care less about children getting hung in the sides, regardless of how much it may hurt them. I told them about the dropside but so far its taken them over a month to contact me to ask for pictures of the hardware on the crib.... Needless to say I've used a different brand crib with my second baby.
I was recently gifted an older Ragazzi crib (1995). I needed replacement parts, specifically a guide for the drop rail on one side and 3 wheels. I found an online dealer who sells replacements kits and individual parts for an array of children's products/brands including Ragazzi cribs. The name of the company is Product' America - here's the link. http://www.productsamerica.com/ph5059.html

It sounds like for most of their cribs you remove the side that moves. You probably want to consult the original directions on how you put that side in it to figure out how to get it back out - as they say, you have to loose the front two gold bolts, too.You don't have to put anything in instead, we just took our crib rail off and left the side fully open, but they sell a side rail to make it look a little nicer and to help encourage your kid not to roll out of the bed. :)Here's what the FAQ on the pali website says: http://www.pali-design.com/index.php?path=customer_services&template=faq&section=customer_services&subsection=faq&page=faqFAQHow to convert a crib into a toddler bed To convert a crib into a toddler bed you must loosen the two front gold bolts left and right side of the crib and remove the dropside (the front gate that goes up and down). After removing the dropside be very careful that you tighten back your two gold bolts. How to install the streight rail (toddler rail) To install a streight (toddler) rail loosen the two front gold bolts left and right side of the crib and remove the dropside, once you have removed the dropside replace with the streight rail. Always be very careful and make sure you tighten back your two gold bolts in the front.

The bars in a baby crib should be close enough together so that it is impossible for the baby to get his head stuck. This will prevent the baby from choking itself.
