To repair dry rot in the foundation sill plate, first, assess the extent of the damage and remove any affected areas using a chisel or saw. Treat the remaining wood with a wood preservative to prevent future rot, then replace the removed sections with treated lumber or a suitable substitute. Ensure proper ventilation and drainage around the foundation to mitigate moisture buildup. Finally, seal the repaired area with paint or a protective coating to enhance durability.

To effectively remove mold from a window sill, mix equal parts of water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray the affected area and let it sit for about an hour. Scrub the mold with a brush or sponge, then wipe the area clean with a damp cloth. Make sure to dry the window sill thoroughly to prevent mold from returning.
