The staircase on the northern side of the pyramid has 91 steps, which, when combined with the single step at the top platform, totals 92 steps. This number is significant as it corresponds to the number of days in the Mayan calendar. Each side of the pyramid has a staircase with a different number of steps, but the northern staircase is the most well-known and visited.
