The Cub Cadet name, among several other brands was taken over by MTD many years ago. My new Troy-Bilt snow thrower is nearly identical to a Cub Cadet, differing only in color and some features.
Like automobiles, parts are sourced worldwide. I believe that most if not all engines used on MTD equipment are made in China by an MTD factory.
This is copy and paste from the Cub Cadet Web site:
Most equipment available for purchase in North America is assembled in North America with the majority of our manufacturing and assembling plants located in The United States of America.
NOTE: Cub Cadet LLC is an international company with subsidiary and affiliate facilities and plants in several other countries located around the world. Occasionally, equipment, parts or sub-assemblies may be manufactured at any of our facilities and in some instances parts or assemblies may even be purchased from another manufacturer. These decisions are based on regional regulations, cost accounting and many other factors all focused on producing the best overall value for our customers.

Stanley "commercial" snow blowers, sold at Home Depot, Lowes, and others are made in China. It is your money and you should buy what you think is the best value for you. But when there are so many snow blower brands made in the USA, unlike most products, why would you choose the one made in China?
Electric snow blowers make the job of moving snow from pathways much easier than shoveling by hand. They are limited in power, and are not as strong as gas snow blowers, but they can clear light snow with ease.
Hi, Toro is one of the few companies that manufacture their snow blowers. They are made in the USA and are among the best you can buy. Other companies that manufacture snow blowers are Ariens and Simplicity, all three are outstanding products made in the US. Husqvarna and Honda make blowers but they are inferior to the big three. Most others are made by MTD or Husqvarna and relabeled by many companies; Sears, Bolens, Store brands, Yard Machines and many others.
Snow blowers are available in many places. If you want the best pricing on snow blowers you might try checking at Sears. Shoveling snow is hard work and a snow blower can certainly make the task easier.
A yard blower can be used for a snow blowers under certain conditions. If the yard blower is powerful enough and if the snow is not too deep or dense.
The Spirit snow blowers are manufactured by Ariens Company, an American manufacturer of outdoor power equipment. They offer a range of snow blowers for both residential and commercial use, known for their durability and performance in clearing snow.
Eaton snow blowers were produced by the Eaton Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer known for its power management solutions. The company has a history of making various outdoor power equipment, including snow blowers, particularly in the mid to late 20th century. However, the Eaton brand for snow blowers is no longer widely recognized today, as the outdoor power equipment market has evolved with different manufacturers taking precedence.
