Shadowline announced December 2008 that they were going out of business in 2009 citing tough overseas competition. Their website shut down at the end of May 2009. They really needed to modernize their market approach. While well respected, their market penetration was not terribly deep and their website, though OK, needed a lot of work. Although they had updated their lines quite a bit, they probably needed to go so further and de-emphasize their more matronly wear. They also need a fresh marketing approach and a slick website.Have not been able to confirm the reference to Velrose anywhere else on the web so I don't about that.
