There are many differences. One, for instance, is the pipe is bigger on a two stroke, but that's only looks. Two strokes also have more of a high-pitched noise, where as four strokes have more of a low pitched noise. But power-wise, there is a big debate between which is faster. You see, two strokes are fast for taking off, where as four strokes are good for racing and for top speed. The four stroke got its name because it has 4 cycles to make the engine run, and 2 stroke only have 2 cycles.
The engine, I believe.
A 2 stroke has a high pitch sound like a weed eater and a 4 stroke is deeper sound.
the raptor is a 4 stroke and the bandanshee is 2 stroke
There is a difference between 2 stroke and 4 stroke, hopefully you know that part. yz250 is a 2 stroke, and yz250f is a 4 stroke. 2 stroke 125cc is the same as a 250cc 4 stroke. a 250cc 2 stroke is the same as a 450cc 4 stroke. so if you get the yz250, it will be ALOT faster then the yz250f, there different kinds of power. hopefully that helps.
A 2 stroke will require oil & gas mix while a 4 stroke will not. 4 stroke engines are usually quieter also. Check out link below. http://www.howstuffworks.com/two-stroke.htm
A 2-stroke dirtbike will be powered by a 2-stroke engine and a 4-stroke dirtbike will be powered by a 4-stroke engine. For the same power, the 2-stroke will be a lighter bike. For the same weight, the 4-stroke will be a weaker/slower bike. The 2-stroke is likely to use more fuel and make more noise. The 4-stroke will run cleaner and quieter.
You are the gayest person in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 stroke means it takes two strokes for a power stroke and 4 sroke takes four strokes for power stroke so in otherwise 2 strokes are way faster and more torqey
The most obvious difference is that a two stroke has no valves and valve gear.
There is no difference in 4 stroke and 2 stroke oil, except that 2 stroke uses non-detergent oil. 2 stroke oil is actually 30 weight non-detergent (30wt ND) oil. Oil with detergents will leave deposits in 2 stroke cylinders, and is not recommended.
in a two stoke engine ther is only two steps before it starts the cycle over, in a 4 stroke engine there is 4 strokes
As per my knowledge, There is no any 6 stroke engine in existance. The engines are catagorised as 2 Stroke and 4 stroke engines. The difference is 1)Suction 2)Compression 3)Ignition and 4) Exhaust (called power cycle) complete in 2 or 4 strokes.
