Starting a moped without the ignition can be dangerous and is generally illegal. However, if the ignition system is malfunctioning, you can try bypassing the ignition switch by connecting the battery directly to the starter motor or using a hot wire method, which involves touching the ignition wires together. This should only be done in emergency situations and with caution, as it poses significant safety risks and can damage the moped's electrical system. Always consult a professional mechanic for proper repairs.

Finally, try turning the ignition and giving it a gentle twist of the throttle while starting.
