To remove the battery from a 2007 Honda Shadow, first ensure the motorcycle is turned off and parked on a stable surface. Remove the seat by unscrewing the bolts or using the quick-release mechanism, if applicable. Once the seat is off, locate the battery compartment, disconnect the negative (-) terminal first followed by the positive (+) terminal, and then carefully lift the battery out of the compartment. Always handle the battery with care and dispose of it properly if replacing.
Remove the seat. The battery is under a cover right under the seat and next to the gas tank. Remove negave terminal first, then positive terminal. Release strap holding battery. Pull out battery.
Sitting on the bike, it will be lower right side. Remove black plastic panel. Positive terminal is above box that says FUSE.
The switch can be gentle tapped out with a rubber mallet
The Honda 1100cc Shadow/Shadow Sabre Engine puts out about 65 hp.
Remove motorcycle seat by putting key in seat lock and holding it in the unlock position, then lift it up and remove it. The battery cover is on top of the battery just behind the gas tank. Cover is removed by sliding it out. Loosen and remove the terminal connectors on both battery poles with a screwdriver. Finally remove the rubber band that secures the battery in place. The rubber band is easily removed by pulling it out of its brace. The battery can now be removed and a new one installed if necessary.
I would use the Honda pre-mix.
