To change the oil on a Yamaha Riva 125, first, warm up the engine slightly to thin the oil, then turn off the engine and let it cool. Place a drain pan under the oil pan, remove the drain bolt, and let the old oil completely drain out. Replace the drain bolt, remove the old oil filter, and install a new one. Finally, refill with the recommended oil type through the oil filler cap, checking the level with the dipstick to ensure it's correct.
