several special tools required Impact gun w/ appropriate socket to remove crank nut and clutch hub retaining nut and clutch hub puller. place trans in neutral , remove outer primary cover , may require removal of foot boards or pegs and controls as necessary .release primary chain tensioner and remove . remove front sprocket and chain .remove nuts retaining clutch pressure plate and springs remove clutch hub assy . remove screws retaining starter and inner primary cover to engine / trans , disconnect oil line from back of inner primary and remove inner primary to expose stator. remove screws from stator and harness clamp . replace stator screws and reconnect harness clamp replace cover to engine seal and reattach inner primary cover dont forget the hose for the oil return or the screws to the srarter . replace clutch assy torque to specs as necessary install spings and retaining nuts and plate over the pressurre plate tighten equally approx 3-4 turns install center adjusting screw in to zero play then back out one turn and lock nut. place chain over clutch hub and font sprocket ind fit over crankshart reinstall nut and lock if suppied torque to specs reinstall tensioner slide upward and hold tight as screws are tightened . replace ouyer cover seal and cover reattatch all controls and pegs / footboards plug in module at case front and check clutch adjustment
