float height
If the Mikuni carb is leaking gas out of the overflow despite the petcock being off, it usually indicates a stuck or damaged float needle valve. This valve controls the flow of fuel into the carburetor; if it doesn't seal properly, fuel can overflow. Additionally, debris in the fuel system or a malfunctioning float can also lead to improper fuel levels, causing leaks. It's essential to clean or replace the float needle and inspect the float for any issues.
either your float level is set too high or there is gunk between the float needle & seat inside the carb. open em up, set the float level to the proper specs. pull the needle & seat and clean & polish them. if the needle & seat are too far gone, order new ones and replace.
my quad runner 230 has a mikuni carb on it. the only model numbers on the carb are this 35B/10.
To adjust the idle on a Mikuni carburetor, locate the idle speed screw, usually found on the side of the carb. Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature. Turn the idle speed screw clockwise to increase RPM or counterclockwise to decrease RPM, aiming for the desired idle speed specified in your vehicle's manual. After adjusting, fine-tune the mixture if necessary using the air-fuel mixture screw for optimal performance.
My 1340 evo with 42 HRS Mikuni idles fast after it gets hot no matter how i adjust the idle air screw. What am i doing wrong??
You can use either a single Mikuni VM 34 or VM 36 on the 850. The 750 uses only the 34.
There is a small screw adjustment on the drivers side, closer to the bottom back part of the mikuni carb. Remove the air filter and housing to get at it better
Canned carb cleaner but you will need new gaskets and should get a book that way you can adjust the float(s), linkages, etc.
It uses a Mikuni 38 mm carb with round slide. 43mm x 66 mm spigot and mouth.
The float is stuck in the OPEN position. Try sharply rapping on the float bowl several times with a non -metallic object. Screwdriver handles work great for this. I seriously doubt that the float went out of adjustment all by itself. Worst case scenario - take the float bowl off and spray carb cleaner around inside.
The OEM carb on a YZ465 is a 38MM Mikuni VM roundslide.
